UMW Roundup: Jackets best Eagles in volleyball

VOLLEYBALL
The University of Mary Washington volleyball team struggled to finish kills Wednesday in dropping a 25–16, 25–11, 25–23 decision to Randolph–Macon.
Kayla Crawford had four kills on the night while Mag-gie Parrish recorded five assists.
The Eagles (5–3) host Virginia Wesleyan College Friday at 6 p.m.
MEN’S SOCCER
The Eagles dropped their second straight match, falling 1–0 to Gettysburg College.
After a scoreless first half, the Bullets scored the lone goal of the game as Christian Pyros scored at 74:11. UMW goalkeeper Tyler Back had six saves for the Eagles.
The Eagles will visit Salisbury University Saturday at 2 p.m. in thei Capital Athletic Conference opener.
