VHSL Changes: Playoffs

BASEBALL

Six state champions. Two teams from each conference advance to region. Two teams from each region advance to state.

BASKETBALL

Six state champions per gender. Two teams from each conference advance to region. Two teams from each region advance to state.

BOYS GOLF

Six state champions. Two teams from each conference plus six individuals qualify from each conference for regional play. Two teams from each region plus six individuals qualify for state tournament.

CROSS COUNTRY

Six state champions per gender. Two teams plus 10 other individuals qualify from each conference for regional meet. Three teams plus 10 other individuals from each region qualify for state meet.

FIELD HOCKEY

Three state champions (1–4 combined). Regional and conference qualification still to be determined.

GYMNASTICS

Two state champions (1–5 combined). Regional and conference qualification still to be determined.

LACROSSE

Two state champions per gender (1–5 combined). Regional and conference qualification still to be determined.

BOYS SOCCER

Six state champions. Two teams from each conference advance to region. Two teams from each region advance to state.

GIRLS SOCCER

Five state champions (1–2 combined). Two teams from each conference advance to region. Two teams from each region advance to state.

SOFTBALL

Six state champions. Two teams from each conference advance to region. Two teams from each region advance to state.

SWIMMING

Four state champions per gender (1–3 combined). Six qualifiers per event from each conference advance to region meet. Six regional qualifiers from each event advance to state.

BOYS TENNIS

Five state champions (1–2 combined). Two teams, two individuals, two doubles teams advance from conference to region, and region to state.

GIRLS TENNIS

Six state champions. Two teams, two individuals, two doubles teams advance from conference to region, and region to state.

INDOOR TRACK

Four state championships per gender. Six qualifiers per event from each conference advance to region meet. Six regional qualifiers from each event advance to state.

OUTDOOR TRACK

Six state champions. Eight qualifiers per event from each conference advance to region meet. Eight regional qualifiers from each event advance to state.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
