Prep Volleyball: Eagles win, remain unbeaten in district

COLONIAL FORGE 3, MASSAPONAX 2

Brooke Sanders had 14 kills, 17 assists and four blocks, and Nori Thomas added 15 kills and five blocks to help Colonial Forge take home a 28–25, 25–19, 25–23, 21–25, 15–9 Commonwealth District win at Massaponax on Thursday.

Maddie Thomas added 13 digs and seven kills, Pressley Maghan 27 assists, and Jenna Ulizio 12 digs for the Eagles (10–6, 6–0), who host North Stafford on Tuesday.

The Panthers (7–5, 3–3) were led by Shannon Stefaniga with 29 digs, Ashley Satterwhite with 23 assists and 11 digs and Rachel Jankovits with 12 kills and four aces.

Massaponax visits Riverbend on Tuesday.

BROOKE POINT 3, MOUNTAIN VIEW 1

Desiree Claxton had 19 kills and four aces to help the homestanding Black–Hawks rally for a 23–25, 25–19, 25–23, 25–13 Commonwealth District win.

Jasmine Jones recorded 10 kills and 10 blocks, Cori Jacobsen served up four aces and libero Lindsay Harrison had 18 digs for Brooke Point (7–1, 5–1), which travels to Spotsylvania in a nondistrict game Monday.

ALBEMARLE 3, RIVERBEND 0

Danielle Deiters had 14 assists, four aces and two kills and Miranda Mitchell added five digs and four kills for visiting Riverbend, but Albemarle earned a 25–16, 25–13, 25–16 Commonwealth District win.

Becca Statler chipped in 10 digs and Ana Torres four kills for the Bears (6–2, 4–2), who host Massaponax on Tuesday.

STAFFORD 3, ORANGE 0

Haley Parish had 17 digs and Jessie Gatanis added 24 assists to help Stafford get a 25–22, 29–27, 25–21 Commonwealth District win on its home court. India Kithcart provided 11 kills for the Indians (4–5, 1–5), who visit James Monroe on Monday.

CAROLINE 3, JAMES MONROE 0

Ayana Clayton had six assists, six aces, five kills and four digs for Caroline in a 28–26, 25–13, 25–10 Battlefield District home win.

Other leaders for the Cavaliers (3–2, 1–1) were Deja Anderson with 14 digs, four aces and three kills; Bo Hayes with five kills, four aces and three digs; and Brooke Brooks with 15 digs.

Caroline visits King William on Monday.

CHANCELLOR 3, CULPEPER 1

Shawna Morris was strong at the net with 10 kills and seven blocks, and Kassie Moeller doled out 15 assists for home-

standing Chancellor in a 25–22, 25–16, 20–25, 25–12 Battlefield District win.

Sydney Jackson added six kills for the Chargers (3–8, 2–0), who host Caroline on Tuesday.

EASTERN VIEW 3, KING GEORGE 1

Lea Howard had 20 assists, seven digs, two blocks and two aces for visiting King George, but Eastern View got a 25–14, 23–25, 25–19, 25–22 Battlefield District win.

Jessica Swenson had five kills and six blocks, and Amber Smith added six hits and three blocks for the Foxes (4–4, 0–2).

FREDERICKSBURG CHRISTIAN 3,

CENTRAL VIRGINIA HOMESCHOOL 0

Gabby Vess had 17 kills and Ashlee Middleton totaled 23 assists to help homestanding Fredericksburg Christian get a 25–15, 25–16, 25–20 nonconference win. Brittany Burton added seven kills for the Eagles (6–2), who visit Seton on Tuesday.

COURTLAND 3, SPOTSYLVANIA 2

Anna Gallup had 13 kills, eight aces and six blocks, and Bianca Rumbaugh provided 33 assists for Courtland in a 24–26, 25–17, 25–19, 24–26, 16–14 Battlefield District home win.

Emily Jordan (12), Josie Till (10) and Amanda DePalma (nine) provided kills for the Cougars (6–3, 2–0), who visit Eastern View on Tuesday.

The Knights (1–5, 1–1) were led by: Katie Graham with 22 kills and 13 digs; Calli Stott with 13 digs, 12 kills and five aces; Caitlin Chmielewski with 39 assists and 14 digs; and Andrea Carroll with 24 digs.

Spotsylvania hosts Brooke Point on Monday.
