Prep Volleyball: Foxes blank Eagles in opener

Lea Howard recorded 10 assists, two aces, two kills and four blocks to help lead the King George volleyball team to a 3–0 victory over homestanding Washington & Lee in a nondistrict game Thursday night. Game scores were 25–12, 25–22, 25–22.

Alli Trainum had four aces and three kills while Amber Smith contributed five blocks, Monica Brandts a pair of kills and libero Lauren Howard 12 digs.

King George will next return to the court with a Battlefield District contest against Chancellor on Sept. 11.
