Sept. 8: Deer Hunter Education. Caledon Natural Area Pavilion, King George County. 8 a.m. –4 p.m. Designed to teach safe, basic and advanced strategies for successful deer hunting. Mix of classroom and practical field instruction. Taught by certified Hunter Education Safety Instructors and DGIF personnel. Includes ethics, gear & guns/bows, stands & blinds, deer sign & stand selection, and more. Class ends with actual field dressing and butchering of a deer. Call Rick Wilks, 540/775-4625.
