American Legion: Americans finish sweep of Nationals

The Stafford Post 290 Americans completed a two-game season sweep of the Stafford Post 290 Nationals with a 12–5 American Legion win Wednesday night.
Corey Haynes struck out five batters over six innings to earn the win. Geoff Cieslewitz and Francis Grzymkowski had two hits each, and Mikey Bruno and J.J McDaniel combined for six runs scored. Tyler Skidmore had a bases-clearing triple.
The Americans (5–1) face Manassas Post 158 Friday at 7 p.m.
