Well-traveled Eastern Mennonite baseball standout Beau Banglesdorf finished his college career with an award.
The Mountain View High School graduate was named to D3baseball.com’s all-South Region first team. He led the Royals in eight offensive categories in 2012, including batting (.395), slugging .618), doubles (18) and runs scored (35).
Bangelsdorf played two seasons at Eastern Mennonite. He transferred from James Madison University after originally committing to Towson.

Sophomore Gunnar Carroll was the losing pitcher in Army’s 2–1, 10-inning NCAA tournament loss to Oklahoma Saturday despite allowing one run in three innings of relief. For the season, he was 2–1 with a 2.48 ERA and eight saves.
“He was the right man for the job, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again,” Army coach Joe Sottolano said.
