Region I Boys Soccer: Chancellor falls to Tabb

FROM STAFF REPORTS

Reilly Maw netted two goals, the second in the third overtime, to lift the homestanding Tabb boys soccer team to a 2–1 Region I semifinal victory in overtime over Chancellor on Thursday.

Chancellor’s Josue Jiminez scored early in the first half on an assist from Cameron Williams to give his team a one-goal advantage.

The Chargers (11–8–1) had a chance to go up 2–0 before the half but failed to capitalize on a penalty kick.

Maw found the back of the net midway through the second half to knot the score at one apiece and eventually netted the game-winner with one minute left in the third extra period.

Each team recorded 16 shots.

Defender Italo Chegne and goalie Matt Johnson stood out in their final game for Chancellor.
