UMW Roundup: Eagles wrap up season with victory

Zach Hendrix limited Methodist University batters to two runs on five hits in six innings and Ben Sisk drove in two runs with a third-inning single as the University of Mary Washington baseball team closed out its season with a 4–2 victory.
The Eagles finished the season with a 13–20–1 mark.
Santino Rosanova and Connor Finnerty each had two singles and Matt Abramson threw three innings of relief for the Eagles.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
The Eagles’ Lindsay Raulston received a bevy of Colonial Athletic Conference honors, including being selected as CAC women’s tennis player of the year.
Raulston was selected to the first teams of the all-CAC singles and doubles teams.
Teammate Alexandra Ritte was named the top rookie in the conference, while Cassandra Bowman made second team in singles play.
MEN’S TENNIS
Sophomore Alex Blahkin was named CAC men’s tennis player of the year.
It’s the seventh straight year a UMW male player has received the honor. Freshman Evan Charles was picked rookie of the year and Todd Helbling was named conference coach of the year.
Teammates Tyler Carey, Will Apperson, Riley Baver and Kevin Aquino joined Blahkin and Charles on the first-team all-CAC singles.
Charles, Blahkin, Carey and Baver were also first-team doubles all-stars.
