UMW will host NCAA lacrosse, tennis

The University of Mary Washington women’s tennis team will host the first
three rounds of the NCAA Division III Tournament this weekend.
UMW will face Grove City College Friday at 2 p.m. in its opener, with the winner meeting Vassar Saturday at 2.
Also on Friday, Hunter College meets Penn State-Behrend at 10 a.m., with the winner advancing to face Johns Hopkins on Saturday.
Saturday’s winners will meet on Sunday for a berth in the NCAA quarterfinals.
Admission is free.
WOMEN’S LACROSSE
UMW (13–4) will host Washington & Lee in the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament Wednesday at 3 p.m. It’s a rematch of a game the Eagles won 13–5 in March in Lexington.
Under NCAA policy, tickets are $3 for adults, $2 for students with ID, and $1 for ages 3 and under.
MEN’S TENNIS
UMW received a first-round NCAA tournament bye and will play the winner of Friday’s Kalamazoo College–Penn State Behrend match at Kenyon (Ohio) College on Saturday.
