Prep Lacrosse: Bears tops Indians

BOYS LACROSSE

RIVERBEND 6, STAFFORD 5

Joe Webb, who also finished with three assists, scored in the final seconds to give the Riverbend boys lacrosse club team a 6–5 victory at Stafford on Friday night.

Andrew Givens added two goals and an assist, while Drew Hoffman, Nevin Jones and Collin Webb also scored for the Bears (3–2). Patrick Moulton provided an assist and goalie Ben Burns made 10 saves.

William Hopkins and Mickey Rynders each scored twice and Ryan Sompayrac once for the Indians (0–5). D.J. Wonsey and Connor Harmon had assists, while goalie Cory Miller came up with 14 saves.

Riverbend visits West End Club on Tuesday.

NORTH STAFFORD 12, MOUNTAIN VIEW 7

Scotty Hayman made 11 saves in goal and Michael Christiansen and Justin Taylor had three goals each to lead North Stafford to a district win.

Keller Quinn had two goals and two assists for the Wolverines. Corey Ohlin had two goals and two assists for Mountain View.

North Stafford (5–2, 4–1) hosts Brooke Point next Wednesday.

COLONIAL FORGE 21, MASSAPONAX 1

Reed Kaucher scored four goals and dished out 11 assists to lead Colonial Forge over the Massaponax club team.

Austin Sims had three goals and three assists for the Eagles (6–0, 5–0), who visit Pope John Paul the Great Monday.
