Prep Baseball: Squeeze bunt play gives Panthers victory in 13th

(13 INNINGS)

With the bases loaded in the 13th inning, Mitch Saunders scored on a sacrifice bunt by Jacob Seibert to give Massaponax a 6–5 Commonwealth District win over Orange on Friday night.

Saunders finished with two hits and two runs scored and Mike Gallagher (two hits) had a double to get Saunders to third in the 13th for the Panthers (4–4, 2–4), who visit Colonial Forge on Thursday.

Trejon Smith was 2-for-3 with a double, four RBIs and a run scored, and Jacob Schenemann reached base three times, scored twice and stole two bases for Stafford in its Commonwealth District win.

Ryan Leake was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and Shane Hailey had two hits and a run scored for the Indians (3–5, 3–4), who visit Orange on Thursday.

Joe Mason was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored for the Black–Hawks.
