Anderson earns Gatorade honor

Westmoreland County native Justin Anderson has been named Gatorade boys basketball player of the year for the state of Maryland.

Anderson is averaging 18 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.4 steals per game for at Montrose Christian School in Rockville, Md. The 6-foot-7, 220-pound senior forward has led the Mustangs to a 21–2 record and a berth in next week’s ESPNHS National High School Invitational.

He also has a 3.11 grade-point average and has signed a letter of intent with Virginia.
