George Fox reaches Division III women’s final

The University of Mary Washington women’s basketball team shouldn’t feel so bad about the 19 points and 10 rebounds George Fox’s 6-foot-5 Hannah Munger had against them in last Saturday’s NCAA Division III playoffs.

In Friday’s national semifinal in Holland, Mich., Hunger had 36 points and 16 rebounds as George Fox beat top-ranked defending national champion Amherst (Mass.) 76-69 in a battle of unbeatens.

Next up for the Bruins from Newburg, Ore.: Saturday’s final against Illinois Wesleyan or St. Thomas.
