The Colonial Beach girls basketball team took home the championship at the Middlesex Holiday Tournament with a 42–38 victory over Mathews last night.

Canieshia Fulcher had 18 points to lead the Drifters, who visit Lancaster on Tuesday.

Rakeisha Heckstall had 10 points and four blocks for the Cavaliers. Bo Hayes and Shannon Mosby had six and five rebounds, respectfully.

Caroline visits Chancellor on Wednesday, while Louisa travels to Powhatan next Friday.

The Conquerors fell to the taller Knights in the final of the Grace Christian Academy Holiday Tournament in Waldorf, Md.

Brooke Morgan, who scored 16 points, and Ashleigh MacGregor were named to the all-tournament team for Faith Baptist, which hosts its four-team Hoops Classic Tournament on Jan. 6–7.
