Prep Roundup: Boys Basketball

FREDERICKSBURG CHRISTIAN 69,

MASSAPONAX 46

Fredericksburg Christian got off to a slow start, but a big run in the second quarter helped the Eagles get a 28–15 lead at the intermission en route to a 69–46 boys basketball win at Massaponax last night.

With leading scorer Seth Allen out due to injury, several players stepped up for FCS. Eric Shaw and A.J. Stevens each had 14 points, with Shaw adding 10 rebounds and three blocks, and Stevens seven rebounds and four steals. Trey Rowser added five assists.

Trevon Jones led the Panthers with 15 points.

Massaponax visits Colonial Forge on Tuesday and FCS hosts Wakefield School on Friday.

Carlton Carter had 16 points and six assists, and Ryan Corp added 16 points and seven rebounds to lead Brooke Point to a fifth-place finish at the Moody Holiday Tournament in Rock Hill, S.C. last night.

Jalen Cotton added seven boards and Mario Giles six assists for the Black–Hawks, who visit Mountain View on Tuesday.
