The Redskins will face the Buccaneers in the final preseason game Thursday night at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla.
Twenty-two players will not play for Washington as the team tries to evaluate some of its younger players in preparation for the finalizing of rosters on Saturday. Tight end Fred Davis, receiver Joshua Morgan, strong safety Brandon Meriweather and cornerback Josh Wilson will be the only veteran starters who see any time, and that’s certainly because they missed portions of the offseason recovering from injuries. Rookie free safety Bacarri Rambo, also projected to start, will play.
Tampa Bay has tabbed Mike Glennon, a third-round draft pick from Centreville who played at N.C. State, to start at quarterback. A majority of its players will also sit out, including running back Doug Martin and cornerback Darrelle Revis.
