RICHMOND – Brian Orakpo left Thursday’s practice with a bruised right quadriceps, Mike Shanahan said, though the outside linebacker doesn’t believe the injury is serious.
Orakpo was trying to stop a run play early in team drills when he fell and was slow to get up. He limped to the athletic training tent between the two fields before spending time on the stationary bike, then watched the rest of the two-and-a-half-hour session from the sidelines, with Rob Jackson and Vic So’oto filling in for him with the first-team defense.
He said briefly after practice that the injury was “not too serious,” but declined to discuss it further.
