Sav Rocca Fined $7,875 By NFL For Grabbing Dwayne Harris’ Facemask

ASHBURN – Sav Rocca was fined $7,875 by the league this week for grabbing an opponent by the facemask, an NFL spokesman confirmed Friday.

Rocca, the Washington Redskins’ punter, grabbed Dallas receiver Dwayne Harris by the facemask and pulled him down from behind as he returned a punt with 6:49 remaining in the fourth quarter of Washington’s 28-18 victory on Sunday.
Harris had taken Rocca’s punt 39 yards before Rocca, a former Australian Rules Football player, forcibly tackled him as the last line of defense. The Cowboys began the following drive from the Redskins’ 16-yard line and scored a touchdown and a two-point conversion to trim their deficit to three points.
