Pierre Garçon, London Fletcher Both Active For Redskins Against Cowboys
ARLINGTON, Texas – Pierre Garçon and London Fletcher, who were both considered questionable to play for the Washington Redskins against Dallas on Thursday because of injury, are active and should face the Cowboys.
Garçon made his return on Sunday against Philadelphia after missing the previous four games with a right foot injury. Fletcher sprained his left ankle in the first quarter of the 31-6 victory over the Eagles, and while he left the game, he later returned.
The main concern with Garçon was how well his foot would hold up on the artificial turf at Cowboys Stadium. Garçon tore the plantar plate in the second toe of his right foot, which prevents him from pushing off, and the hard base of the turf could cause Garçon further pain.
Fletcher, who has played in 234 consecutive games, did not practice on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Quarterback Rex Grossman, receiver Dezmon Briscoe, cornerbacks Richard Crawford and Jerome Murphy, left guard Adam Gettis and Maurice Hurt and defensive end Doug Worthington will be inactive for the Redskins.
The Cowboys have not announced their inactive players, though they ruled center Phil Costa, receiver Kevin Ogletree and defensive tackle Sean Lissemore out earlier in the week because of injury.
