Pierre Garcon, Brandon Meriweather Active For Redskins Against Eagles
By ZAC BOYER
LANDOVER, Md. – Receiver Pierre Garçon and strong safety Brandon Meriweather are each active and will play for the Washington Redskins against Philadelphia.

Meriweather

Garçon
The two players have missed significant time this season because of injury. Garçon has missed the last four games, and six this season, with a plantar plate tear in the second toe of his right foot, while Meriweather will be making his debut after repeatedly aggravating sprained and torn ligaments in his left knee.
With Garçon and Meriweather set to play, receiver Dezmon Briscoe will not play. Briscoe has caught two passes for 22 yards this season in a limited role.
With both players on the field, the Redskins will, for the first time, list seven healthy players as inactive. Quarterback Rex Grossman, left guards Adam Gettis and Maurice Hurt, cornerback Richard Crawford, linebacker Mario Addison and defensive end Doug Worthington will not play.
Philadelphia ruled quarterback Michael Vick, receivers Jason Avant and Mardy Gilyard and running back Chris Polk out earlier in the week because of injury, while defensive ends Vinny Curry and Phillip Hunt and left guard Nate Menkin are healthy but will not play.
