Though Sav Rocca was listed as questionable to play for the Washington Redskins on Sunday against the New York Giants, the team did not make a roster move on Saturday, which means Rocca would be able to handle punting duties.

Head coach Mike Shanahan said Rocca “tweaked his knee” while running Wednesday and hasn’t punted at all this week. The Redskins worked out three punters on Friday and would have signed one Saturday had Rocca struggled in a workout that afternoon.

According to 106.7 The Fan, the Redskins worked out former Pittsburgh punter Daniel Sepulveda, former Philadelphia punter Chas Henry and rookie Ryan Donahue. Sepulveda was the choice, the radio station reported.

Rocca, 37, has been the Redskins’ punter since the start of last season and is averaging 44.6 yards on 30 attempts.
