Brian Orakpo, Adam Carriker On Injured Reserve; Three Signed

By ZAC BOYER | @ZacBoyer

The Washington Redskins placed linebacker Brian Orakpo and defensive end Adam Carriker on injured reserve on Tuesday, officially ending their seasons.

Orakpo tore his left pectoral and Carriker ruptured his right quadriceps tendon in the Redskins’ 31-28 loss at St. Louis on Sunday, and each player is expected to miss several months.

To replace them, the Redskins signed defensive end Doug Worthington and outside linebacker Markus White to the active roster. Worthington began this year on the practice squad and was on the active roster for the final game last season, while White spent the first two weeks on Tampa Bay’s practice squad after being cut by the Redskins on Aug. 31 when rosters were finalized.

Dominique Hamilton, a 6-foot-5, 315-pound defensive end, was signed to take Worthington’s spot on the practice squad. Hamilton went undrafted out of Missouri in April.
