Redskins Announce Kory Lichtensteiger Signs Contract Tender

The Washington Redskins announced Tuesday afternoon they have re-signed left guard Kory Lichtensteiger.

Lichtensteiger
Lichtensteiger, 26, started the first five games for the Redskins this past season before tearing ligaments in his right knee against Philadelphia on Oct. 16. A restricted free agent, Lichtensteiger was offered a fourth-round tender by the team on March 2, according to reports, meaning any team who signed him must surrender a fourth-round pick to the Redskins in April’s NFL Draft.
He expressed a desire to return to the Redskins at the end of the season – his second in Washington after stints with Denver and Minnesota.
The team also officially announced it signed defensive end Adam Carriker to a new contract. Carriker, 27, signed that contract on Wednesday.
