DeAngelo Hall Named NFC Defensive Player Of The Week
ASHBURN – A week after vilifying himself for what he perceived to be subpar play against Dallas, Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall was named the NFC defensive player of the week.
Hall had seven tackles, defended seven passes and intercepted Seattle quarterback Tavaris Jackson with under 45 seconds to play, essentially ending the game and allowing the Redskins to hold on for a 23-17 victory that snapped a six-game losing streak.
He earned the honor for the second time, having done so previously last year when he intercepted four passes in a game against Chicago. Linebacker Brian Orakpo was named the NFC defensive player of the week after his performance against St. Louis on Oct. 2.
