London Fletcher Misses Practice With Sore Left Ankle; Two Linemen Hurt

By ZAC BOYER | zboyer@freelancestar.com | @ZacBoyer

ASHBURN – Linebacker London Fletcher did not practice yesterday and was wearing a walking boot on his left foot. He has a sore ankle, according to head coach Mike Shanahan. Fletcher has played in 217 consecutive games and started each of his last 172.

Of greater concern to the Redskins, however, is their situation on the offensive line. Sean Locklear, filling in for Jammal Brown at right tackle last week, was limited in practice with a knee injury, and rookie left guard Maurice Hurt also sustained a knee injury and did not participate. Brown, who hurt his groin against San Francisco on Nov. 6, was also limited in practice.

Strong safety LaRon Landry missed his second consecutive Wednesday practice to rest his sore left Achilles’ tendon, while receivers Niles Paul (turf toe) and Santana Moss (broken left hand) and linebacker Keyaron Fox (left knee infection) also sat out.
