Portis: “I should be released today.”
Running back Clinton Portis acknowledged this morning that the countdown to the end of his Redskins tenure has reached the final moments.
“I should be released today,” he told D.C. radio station 106.7 The Fan.
Portis’ departure has been expected since he went on injured reserve last November. He is scheduled to make a non-guaranteed base salary of $8.3 million in 2011, but he has missed 19 of the last 32 games due to injury.
