Redskins re-sign OLB Chris Wilson
Restricted free agent linebacker Chris Wilson re-signed with the Redskins this afternoon. Terms of the contract were not immediately available. Washington tendered him at the second-round level earlier the month.
Wilson, a three-year veteran, transitioned from defensive end to linebacker last season–the same switch Brian Orakpo made.
He did fairly well in his limited playing time on defense, and he also stood out on special teams. Wilson had one sack and 17 solo tackles.
He’s also one of the funniest guys in the locker room, always quick with a one-liner or a funny take on a light-hearted issue. The value of that can’t be underestimated from a reporter’s perspective.
