Redskins draft Nebraska LB Cody Glenn

The Redskins just drafted Nebraska linebacker Cody Glenn (6-0, 235).

Glenn was suspended by Nebraska on Nov. 12 for an unspecified violation of teams rules. He was not reinstated.

This from a news article written by Rich Kaipust of the Omaha World-Herald in late January:

"Nebraska coach Bo Pelini suspended Glenn on Nov. 11 for an unspecified violation of team rules. The senior was never reinstated, missing the Huskers’ final two regular-season games as well as the Gator Bowl.

No details of his situation have been disclosed by NU, and no criminal charges have been filed against him.

There is a civil suit filed in Lancaster County on Dec. 17 by a landlord seeking unpaid rent, among other expenses, from Glenn and a Husker teammate, but it’s doubtful that is directly related to his suspension."

Glenn originally was a running back at NU but he converted to defense his senior year. He made the Big 12 Academic Honor Roll in both the fall and spring of 2007.
