Retiring Dr. Ryan appointed to VT Board of Visitors
Well, that retirement may not be as quiet as Dr. Thomas Ryan hoped.
The former Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Mary Washington Healthcare, who retired from MWHC at the end of last month, has been appointed by Gov. Bob McDonnell to the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors.
McDonnell announced the appointment today.
In an interview last month, Ryan said he looked forward to travelling and doing advocacy work with health care organizations.
He received an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech, and said he and his wife own a farm in Blacksburg and are involved with the college’s alumni association.
The story on Ryan’s retirement can be found here.
