Looking for docs/patients to talk about Medicaid
One aspect of the federal Affordable Care Act is a two-year payment increase for some doctors who take Medicaid patients. The idea is to encourage more doctors to accept Medicaid patients — many don’t because the reimbursement rate is so low.
If you’re a doctor who wants to talk about this — maybe you’ve stopped accepting Medicaid patients because of the low payments, or maybe you’re in line for the increased payments — I’d love to talk to you for a story this week. And if you’re a Medicaid patient who’s having trouble finding a doctor who’ll accept you, I’d like to talk to you as well this week.
The easiest way to reach me is email, at email@example.com. Shoot me a message about your situation and include a way for me to contact you.
