Health News: Local hospitals can drive economic development for a locality

Fredericksburg writers Marjolijn Bijlefeld and Robert Burke have placed Mary Washington Healthcare at the center of their article for the November issue of  Virginia Business. Their article describes how hospitals, especially Mary Washington, are powerful economic engines for their home communities, providing capital investment and good-paying  jobs. The article can be seen here.

Stephen Hayes, who works in an executive search firm, includes hospitals among the Fredericksburg-area businesses that are hiring. Hayes was featured this week in an article by my colleague Cathy Jett. Her article is here.
