Stafford’s history in words, pictures and objects
Stafford Hospital Center’s history mural is ready for display. Installation of the first panel was scheduled for Monday night but had to be delayed.
Stafford County artist Dale Glasgow has created a massive display, 44 feet long and 4 feet high, that will stretch across a wall in the hospital lobby.
The Stafford Historical Society commissioned the work, which traces Stafford’s history from the dinosaurs to modern times. Each panel contains a mix of prints, artifacts and text. Glasgow, left in picture, is working with Rick Miller, who is framing and the installing the work. They hope to have it ready for viewing sometime next week.
