Fredericksburg’s Welsh Festival scrubbed

MORE: Read more news from Fredericksburg

Folk dancers entertain guests at Fredericksburg's yearly Welsh Festival, a popular block party outside the James Monroe Museum.

Due to the wet weather the Fredericksburg area is experiencing, organizers have decided to cancel Saturday’s Welsh Festival, a popular and long-lived celebration hosted by the James Monroe Museum and Memorial Library.

There is no rain location or reschedule date, according to Adele Uphaus-Conner, the museum’s membership and special events coordinator.
