Decision pleases Piedmont Environmental Council

Virginia’s Piedmont Environmental County, part of the Wilderness Battlefield Coalition that fought the Wilderness Walmart project, made this statement in its PEC Daily News email this morning:
“PEC is thrilled that we now have the opportunity to work for a positive solution for this historic property. Along with our preservationist allies, PEC has been urging Walmart to seek an alternative site for their Orange County store, so that the integrity of Wilderness Battlefield can be preserved.”
