Cuccinelli town hall in Fredericksburg tonight
Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli is holding a town hall meeting in Fredericksburg tonight at 7.
This is one of a series of town hall-style meetings Cuccinelli’s campaign has organized around the state, billing them as alternatives to debates that opponent Terry McAuliffe won’t hold.
“Since my opponent refuses to engage in a series of robust debates with me across the Commonwealth, I have decided to hold open town hall meetings around Virginia. Anyone can come and ask me a question and I can promise you an authentic and honest answer, not a poll tested and consultant approved soundbite,” said Cuccinelli in an email to supporters last week in which he talked about the town hall meetings and asked for donations. “That is one of the major differences in this campaign. I am not afraid to face the people of Virginia and be asked the tough questions. I don’t run and hide from video cameras and Virginia’s voters. If someone wants to be the Governor of this great state, they should have the ability to discuss, in detail, their plans to move us forward.”
Cuccinelli’s Frederickburg meeting is open to the public and will be tonight from 7-8:30 at the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center, Ballroom C. That’s at 2371 Carl D. Silver Parkway
Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
