First Lady event here cancelled

First Lady Michelle Obama has cancelled a scheduled campaign event in Fredericksburg today after the mass shooting in a Colorado movie theater overnight.

She’s also cancelling an earlier event in Charlottesville.

President Barack Obama, who also cancelled a scheduled event today, is speaking about the shooting this morning.

Campaign officials said they didn’t know if or when the First Lady’s visit would be rescheduled.
