Michelle Obama coming to Fredericksburg

The Obama campaign says that First Lady Michelle Obama will hold a campaign event in Fredericksburg on Friday.

The campaign has released no other details, except that the event might happen in the afternoon.

She’s also expected to hold an event in Charlottesville.

President Barack Obama just made a two-day campaign swing through Virginia last week, holding rallies in Roanoke, Glen Allen, Hampton and Fairfax. Virginia is considered a key swing state this year, with Obama and Republican rival Mitt Romney running close in most polls. As a result, the Obama campaign has held several events here in recent weeks, Romney has visited as well, and both campaigns have poured millions of dollars into television ads.
