Reeves endorsed by police group
The Virginia Police Benevolent Association has endorsed Republican state Senate candidate Bryce Reeves.
“Mr. Reeves’ pledge of support to law enforcement and his understanding of the legislative issues important to our members makes him our choice for representation in the state Senate,” said Jason Knorowski, president of the association’s Virginia division, in a written release put out by Reeves’ campaign.
Reeves was a police officer in Prince William County for a time.
The endorsement comes the same week as Sen. Edd Houck, Reeves’ opponent, announced that he is being supported by 61 local sheriffs, former sheriffs, commonwealth’s attorneys and other law enforcement officials.
