NFIB endorses Orrock
The Virginia chapter of the National Federation of Independent Business has endorsed Del. Bobby Orrock, R-Caroline, for reelection.
Orrock, a teacher in Spotsylvania County, was first elected to the 54th House seat in 1989. This year he is opposed by independent Matthew Simpson. The 54th District covers parts of Spotsylvania and Caroline counties.
In a news release, NFIB state director Nicole Riley said Orrock has supported the position of small businesses on tax relief, health care, and secret union ballots.
“We believe Delegate Orrock will continue to take a fiscally responsible approach to managing state government and support legislation that helps our small businesses grow and create jobs and puts the Commonwealth back on the pathway to success,” Riley said.
