BUSINESS NOTES

Catherine Finkelman, a Fredericksburg resident and consultant with Pure Romance, was honored earlier this month at the company’s world conference by being named to the senior board of directors. Finkelman has been a consultant with Pure Romance for nine years. Pure Romance is the nation’s leading and fastest-growing woman-to-woman direct seller of relationship-enhancement products.

Cord Sterling has been honored by the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce for his service on the Commonwealth Transportation Board. Sterling was appointed to the CTB in 2006 by then-Gov. Tim Kaine and served until May 2014. Sterling helped secure funding for several infrastructure projects vital to the Fredericksburg region’s economy, including improvements at the Falmouth intersection in Stafford, the Route 630 interchange relocation, and the widening of portions of U.S. 17.

Radley Chevrolet’s Jonathan Pittman, general manager, and John Buckner, general sales manager, recently traveled to the General Motors headquarters in Detroit for the 2015 Chevrolet Product and Business Plan dealer meeting. The annual dealer show highlights newly released vehicles for Chevrolet such as the City Express, Trax and Colorado.

Camp Rainbow, a weekend day camp for children grieving the death of a parent or other caregiver, is now accepting applications for camp attendees and adult volunteers. Hosted by Hospice Support Care of Mary Washington Hospice, it pairs campers with trained adult volunteers, allowing the grieving children to explore their feelings. Elite Management Solutions, LLC leased 1,907-square-feet at 1671 Jefferson Davis Highway, Suite 203. Rich McDaniel, Phillip Baxter and Rebecca Barricklow of CBRE handled the transaction on behalf of the landlord and Lee Cherwek of CBRE represented the tenant.

EverBank announced that Gregory Nosar has joined the home lending division as a retail sales manager. He is a Stafford resident with 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry, having previously worked for McLean Mortgage Corporation and BB&T.

Twana’s Creation Gift Baskets of Stafford has won two first-place awards for their original gift basket designs in the National Designer Competition at the National Gift Basket Convention 2014, held in Long Beach, Calif. Twana’s Creation entered into two gift basket design divisions: “Gifts Made Easy” and “Pampering,” and took first in both.
