A Stafford County woman is wanted in connection with an incident in Prince William County in which a man she reportedly met up with was shot in the face.

Jonathan Perok of the Prince William Police Department said officers responded to a McDonald’s restaurant on Dale Boulevard in Woodbridge around 6:49 p.m. on Monday for a reported shooting.

When they arrived, the 23-year-old victim from Woodbridge told police that he had made arrangement to meet with a female acquaintance in the restaurant parking lot.

When she arrived in the parking lot with another man, the victim said he was shot in the face and the two attackers fled, Perok said.

The victim said he went into the business and called police. He was taken to an area hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries, Perok said.

Police received a description of the vehicle the two assailants drove off in and began a search. A vehicle matching the description was located on Neabsco Mills Road. However, the male driver parked it at Freedom High School and then fled on foot, Perok said.

The driver is believed to be the shooter in the McDonald’s incident, Perok said. The woman was not in the vehicle and police believe the two separated after the shooting, he said.

During a search of the area with tracking dogs, police say the male driver apparently car-jacked a passing driver.

The 26-year-old driver from Triangle told police that he was flagged down by a man in the area of Neabsco Mills Road and Dale Boulevard. He said the man opened his passenger-side door and got into the vehicle before starting a verbal altercation.

The victim told police that the man forced him to drive him away from the area. It was unclear whether the man had a gun at the time.

Perok said the man got out of the car near Jefferson Davis Highway and Delaware Drive and ran toward the Misty Ridge apartment complex.

A search of that area and residences that the man and woman sought in the shooting are known to frequent continued until about 3 a.m. Tuesday without success, Perok said.

Arrest warrants were issued for DeWayne Andrew Williams, 28, of Belvedere Road in Woodbridge and Jamie Lea Bowyer, 31, of Mary Drive in Stafford. They are accused of aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Williams is described as a black male weighing about 130 pounds with a thin build. He is 5 foot, 6 inches tall with a light complexion, black hair, brown eyes and tattoos on his arms. He is considered armed and dangerous, police said.

Bowyer is described as a white female, about 135 pounds with a thin build. She is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and has blonde hair and hazel/gray eyes.
