BUSINESS BRIEFS: Stafford retail location has sold

The Rejuvalase Med Spa building in the Aquia Park shopping center has sold for $620,000.

The property, suites 117 and 119 of the 2785 Jefferson Davis Highway-located center, totals 2,400 square feet and was sold as an investment.

Boojalas at Broadlands LLC sold the space to the Irene Chung Living Trust.

Rejuvalase Med Spa has five years left in its 10-year lease and will remain in the location.

Brian Cunningham with Coldwell Banker Commercial Elite represented the seller.


University of Mary Washington psychology professor Mindy Erchull has been recognized as an emerging leader by the American Psychological Association, according the a university release.

The award, given by the APA’s Committee on Women in Psychology, honors psychologists who have made a substantial contribution to women in psychology and show career promise.

“Erchull was distinguished for her pattern of scholarship, mentorship of undergraduate students and service to the profession,” the release said.

Erchull’s research includes objectification and sexualization of women, feminism and feminist identity, psychological aspects of reproductive health and attitudes about menstruation.

She is also trained in social psychology, health psychology, psychology of women, women’s health, social influence and statistics and research methods.

She serves as program chair for the 2015 APA convention for the Society for the Psychology of Women, was named an APA Fellow in 2013, and has presented her research at numerous APA events.

Erchull serves as a consulting editor for Psychology of Women Quarterly, Women’s Reproductive Health and Gender Issues. She also regularly reviews manuscripts for other journals, including Sex Roles, Health Care for Women International and Basic and Applied Social Psychology.
