Stafford trying to stop sex sales
Stafford County detectives are cracking down on those who would seek to provide or receive sexual services for money in the county.
Sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy said county officers recently arrested four people following undercover sting operations and will continue to arrest others. Kennedy said the goal is to rid the county of prostitution and problems associated with it.
Kennedy said that on June 26 and again on Tuesday, detectives placed ads on Internet sites known to be connected to prostitution. In some of the ads, detectives posed as prostitutes and in others they posed as people seeking services from prostitutes.
During the undercover stings, four people showed up at an undisclosed county location and were eventually charged with soliciting prostitution. All four were released on summonses for the misdemeanors charges.
Charged were Brooke Arlena Caetto, 23, of Fredericksburg, Taimur Hussain Khan, 22, of Spotsylvania, Devon Shauntel Branson, 32, of Montross and Thyra Sefah Addai, 27, of Woodbridge.
