Orange County men charged in Lake Anna burglaries
Two Orange County men are facing charges in several burglaries in the Lake Anna area of Spotsylvania County.
A surveillance camera captured a picture of one of the suspects during one of the break-ins. He was identified after the photo was distributed by the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office. The thefts occurred during May and this month, police said.
Orange County deputies located the suspect in the photo and another man in a vehicle on Tuesday, said Capt. Jeff Pearce of the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office.
Spotsylvania detectives went to Orange and, with help from the Orange deputies, were able to recover items taken from Spotsylvania, Pearce said.
Daryl Sloan, 22, who was identified in the surveillance photo, and Eric Repass are each charged with four counts of breaking and entering and four counts of conspiracy to commit breaking and entering in Spotsylvania County.
They were also charged in Orange County with possession of stolen property.
Both men were taken to Central Virginia Regional Jail.
Sloan was also accused of misdemeanor shoplifting from Keystone Grocery in Spotsylvania on May 24, but was released on a summons in that incident.
