Volunteers facing charges in Spotsy
A Spotsylvania County volunteer firefighter and two rescue squad volunteers are facing sex crime charges.
According to Capt. Jeff Pearce of the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office, few details of the case are able to be released because it is still under investigation, but he said the charges stem from one sexual incident.
Albert Skip Dunaway, 38, of Locust Grove, is a volunteer firefighter with the Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Department. He is charged with two counts of electronic solicitation, possession of child pornography and carnal knowledge.
His trial date is scheduled for July 23 in Spotsylvania Circuit Court.
Two Spotsylvania Volunteer Rescue Squad workers will be arraigned in Spotsylvania Circuit Court today.
Joseph Augustus Schlatter, 45, of Spotsylvania is charged with indecent liberties and possession of child pornography.
Elizabeth Anne Tosick, 19, of Partlow, is charged with one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
An anonymous source made the county and fire administrations aware of allegations and it was referred to the Sheriff’s Office for investigation.
