No charges have been filed at this point.
Trooper A.D. Walker and the state police crash reconstruction team are handling the investigation.
Traffic shift today on Culpeper road
The traffic flow on Culpeper’s Sperryville Pike will be shifted today as workers install a water line.
Vehicles will still be able to travel in both directions but cones will mark where lanes will be shifted.
Motorists should expect some delays.
Pipe work impacts homes, businesses
Three Culpeper businesses and six homes at the Sycamore Street–North Main Street intersection will lose water for about six hours Tuesday night as the town replaces a pipe.
McDonalds, 7–Eleven and Amberwood Veterinary Hospital will not have water between the hours of 10 p.m. Tuesday and 4 a.m. Wednesday, according to town public information officer Wally Bunker.
The homes are all on Sycamore Street.
The pipe replacement is part of the roundabout construction near Wendy’s.
