An undercover drug investigation in Caroline County has led to charges against two dozen people this week.

According to Caroline Sheriff Tony Lippa, a drug-related search warrant was issued at a home in the 7000 block of Breezewood Lane in the Ruther Glen area early Thursday morning.

Lippa said the charges against the 24 people include distribution of marijuana, distribution of various prescription pills, distribution of cocaine, distribution of heroin, distribution of PCP, distribution of ecstasy and the illegal possession of prescription pills.

The operation was investigated by the Tri-County Task Force, which includes the Westmoreland, King George and Caroline sheriff’s offices, the Virginia State Police and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

Lippa said additional arrests are expected.
