Information sought in Culpeper burglary
The Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about the burglary Thursday morning of Norman Grocery on Sperryville Pike near the Norman Road intersection.
Owner Reva Tutt left his store briefly midmorning and returned to find that it had been broken into and ransacked. Burglars stole an undisclosed amount of money and multiple firearms before escaping undetected, the Sheriff’s Office said.
“This business is located on a busy stretch of road. I encourage anyone who recalls seeing suspicious or unusual activity at or near Norman Grocery on Thursday morning to call the Sheriff’s Office or Culpeper Crime Solvers,” said Sheriff Scott Jenkins.
The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division can be reached at 540/727-7523 or through the E–911 center at 540/727-7900, or anonymously by calling 540/727-0300. A reward is offered for information leading to an arrest.
