Dog attack reported in Spotsylvania
Spotsylvania County authorities say a dog was injured after it was attacked by a pit bull Saturday afternoon.
It is unknown whether the pit bull was a stray or neighborhood dog.
The deputies were called at 3:58 p.m. to the 5500 block of Leavells Crossing Drive by a neighbor who witnessed the attack, said Capt. Jeff Pearce of the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office.
The injured dog was small and white. It has been transported to an emergency veterinary clinic.
The pit bull is being quarantined by animal control.
